Tamara Fleischhaker, Vice President, Business Advocacy & Partner Services for the Ocala/Marion County Chamber & Economic Partnership, has been named the 2016 Professional of the Year by the Florida Association of Chamber Professionals.
This distinction is awarded to the Chamber professional who demonstrates exemplary service with outstanding performance in the areas of customer service, leadership, teamwork and problem solving.
“I have worked in Chamber-related organizations for more than 20 years and I know of no one who better exemplifies what it means to be a Chamber Professional than Tamara. If it was up to me, she would be recognized not only as Chamber Professional of the Year for Florida but for the country. She loves this community and this organization and it shows every day in the incredible effort she puts forth to make them both better,” said Kevin Sheilley, president & CEO of the CEP.
Fleischhaker joined the CEP in April of 2006 with a background in marketing, events and public policy. She has over 25 years of festival and event management experience with the Minneapolis Aquatennial; St. Paul Winter Carnival; Great Reno Balloon Race; and Macon, Georgia’s International Cherry Blossom Festival.
Her professional experience includes brand development, contract program management and trade show coordination as well as account management and event production with ad agencies in Minneapolis and Reno, Nevada.
