The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary that took place at an Ocala storage facility after a report was filed Monday morning.

Marion County deputies responded to a report of a commercial burglary at Helping Hands, a storage facility located on 9536 SE Maricamp Road, according to an MCSO incident report.  The victim, who works at the company and has a storage unit, told a deputy that his unit was intact on Saturday at 3:30 p.m., but after checking Monday at 8:00 a.m., the victim noticed that the lock on the storage unit was missing, the report stated. The victim checked around the storage unit and noted that a Chicago brand table saw, a Chicago brand air compressor, a Ryobi tools battery charger and two 50-foot orange extension cords were missing. The employee at the company who filed the burglary report also told the deputy that three other units were broken into Monday morning even though each unit had been locked on Saturday.

Some of the items stolen in one of the other units were two Piccasso prints, an electric shop rider scooter, five oil paintings and a mini fridge.
