An Ocala man was critically injured when his car collided with a traffic signal pole early Tuesday morning in Marion County.
Justin R. Griffis, 31, had been at the wheel of a 2005 Buick Rainier at 12:45 a.m. when his vehicle left the roadway and struck the police at SW 85th Street Road and SW 60th Avenue, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol. The concrete pole broke in half.
Griffis was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center.
