Wallet stolen at Wal-Mart parking lot in Ocala

A wallet was reportedly stolen from a vehicle Wednesday afternoon at a Wal-Mart parking lot in Ocala.

A Marion County sheriff’s deputy responded to the South Multi-District office in reference to a report of a burglary, according to an incident report. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the victim, who advised his wallet was stolen from his 2006 Ford Explorer, the report stated. The victim stated that he parked his vehicle at the Wal-Mart located at 38 Bahia Ave. at 4:39 p.m. and left the wallet inside with the vehicle’s doors unlocked. When he returned home at 6 p.m., he noticed the wallet was missing.

He added that the wallet contained his driver’s license, Social Security card, a credit card and a fishing license, which all had a total value of $140.
