‘Feisty’ Ocala woman arrested after delivering ‘love tap’ to man’s groin region

Elizabeth Tague

An Ocala woman was arrested on Sunday after delivering what she described as a “love tap” to a man’s groin region during an argument at their home on Spring Road in Ocala.

Marion County sheriff’s deputies received a phoned-in report calling their attention to a Facebook post, which depicted a woman with a black eye, captioned “came home to this…married life,” according to an arrest report. Deputies conduced an in-house search with the woman’s name and date of birth, and made contact with her.

The woman, who later was identified as Elizabeth Tague, advised deputies that she was involved in an altercation with her husband. She stated she was “feisty” and delivered a “love tap” to the man’s groin area. In response to the strike, the victim threw his hand up as a reaction and unintentionally struck her left eye.

Deputies made contact with the victim who gave a similar account regarding the argument. He stated they were arguing about “landlord issues” and that Tague has been physical in the past. After being struck in the groin and unintentionally striking Tague, he told her that “this was not right” and to “not be physical with him.”

Tague was placed under arrest and transported to Marion County Jail where she was initially held without bond.
