Hellen Jewel Hooper, 88, passed away on May 9, 2018 in Ocala, Florida at the Legacy Hospice House. Helen was born on June 24, 1929 in Glasgow, Kentucky to parents Noel and Allie Furlong. She was a financial director for two large churches; First Baptist Church of Ft. Worth, Texas and Fellowship Church in Grand Junction, Colorado. She retired to Florida in 2004 and enjoyed spending all the time she could with her family.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband George L. Hooper; and her daughter, Janet Hooper Berry.
She will be forever missed by her sons, Mark Hooper of McKinney, Texas, Dan Hooper of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Rick Hooper of Morriston, Florida. Helen is also survived by her nine grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service at 11am on Saturday, March 12, 2018 at Souls Harbor Church in Dunnellon, FL. The church is located at 11818 N Ohio Street Dunnellon, FL 34431.
