Failure to appear in court lands 21-year-old Belleview woman in jail

Sierra Lacee Garrett

Marion County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 21-year-old Belleview woman Thursday for failing to appear in court earlier this month.

Sierra Lacee Garrett, 21, had been scheduled to face a judge over earlier charges of burglary of an unoccupied vehicle and fraudulent use of credit cards. The warrant for her arrest was issued May 25 and received by the sheriff’s office this past Tuesday.

Garrett also was charged with giving false identification to a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest without violence. She was held without bond on the earlier charges and on $1,000 bond for the two new ones.

Garrett is due in court June 27 at 1 p.m. on the new charges and at 9 a.m. July 3 on the previous counts.
