Marion County deputies arrested an 18-year-old woman early Thursday morning after a physical altercation at an Ocala home.
When deputies arrived at the house on SE 44th Avenue Road, a man told them that Destini N. Troyer had punched and slapped him in the chest, “open and closed fist,” a sheriff’s office police report states, adding that the man had red marks on his chest.
Troyer said got into a verbal altercation with the man but then told deputies she didn’t want to talk to them. When a deputy pointed out that he was just investigating the battery complaint, “she spontaneously uttered she punched him in the chest.”
Troyer was taken to the Marion County Jail and charged with battery. She was initially held without bond.
