Ocala police arrested a man Sunday who was found sleeping in the chapel at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
The man, 64-year-old Theodore Preston III, was in the emergency room area with two security guards when an officer arrived. One of the security guards told the officer that Preston had been warned about sleeping on the hospital grounds earlier that night, a report states.
A records check revealed that while Preston didn’t have any outstanding warrants, he was issued a trespass warning elsewhere in Ocala on March 1, 2016.
Preston, who has a long arrest record dating back to March 2013, was taken into custody and transported to the Marion County Jail. He was charged with trespassing after receiving a warning and held on $1,000 bond.
