Ocala woman faces third charge of driving while license suspended

Jasmine Lee

An Ocala police officer arrested a woman Sunday after discovering the license tag on her car belonged to another vehicle.

After stopping the car on NW 4th Street, the officer said the driver, Jasmine Lee, 28, provided him with a license that was suspended in January for failure to pay a traffic fine, a report states, adding that she also had two prior convictions for driving without a valid license.

The officer contacted the owner of the vehicle, who requested that it be released to Lee’s passenger. He also took possession of the license tag.

Lee was taken into custody and transported to the Marion County Jail. She was charged with driving while license suspended (third offense) and held on $7,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in court July 17 at 9 a.m.
