Gentlemen’s club dancer arrested on drug charges after deputy catches her driving with suspended license

Allison Jessica Carter

A gentlemen’s club dancer was arrested Sunday night after a Marion County deputy saw her speeding on SW 140th Avenue.

When the deputy stopped 29-year-old Allison Jessica Carter, of Dunnellon, she told him that her driver’s license was suspended. The deputy instructed her to exit her car and then placed her in handcuffs so he could search her vehicle, a sheriff’s office report states.

The deputy saw a black purse in the driver’s seat area, which a passenger and Carter identified as hers. Inside the purse the deputy found two orange prescription bottles, one prescribed to the vehicle’s passenger, who is Carter’s roommate, for Hydrocodone and one to another woman that contained the antibiotic Clindamycin, the report says.

Inside the bottle prescribed to the roommate, the deputy found 17 blue-colored Clonazepam pills, three unidentified green pills and a bag containing a green leafy substance “that smelled like marijuana,” the report states, adding that the bottle didn’t contain any Hydrocodone pills, which is what the prescription was for.

The deputy read Carter her rights and she refused to speak with him. The roommate said the prescription was for her at one time but she didn’t know if Carter had taken the bottle and put different drugs in it. She also said she didn’t know the prescription bottle was in the vehicle.

Carter, who lives in the 4700 block of 166th Court Road, was taken into custody and transported to the Marion County Jail, where she was charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, possession of marijuana not more than 20 grams and driving with a suspended license (second offense). She was being held on $6,000 bond.
