The sign on the window at Bluefin Grill & Bar says it all – employees are needed to fill a variety of positions at the Brownwood restaurant owned by Fresh Made Kitchen Restaurant Group. The hours for those interested in applying are now 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

The grand opening for Bluefin Grill & Bar in Brownwood is just a couple of weeks away and the restaurant still has plenty of openings to fill.

Servers and hosts are being sought, as well as some other positions throughout the restaurant, said Fred Karimipour, whose Fresh Made Kitchen Restaurant Group owns Bluefin and several other restaurants in Florida’s Friendliest Hometown. “We’re looking to staff up to a hundred people.”

Bluefin General Manager Michael Dillenburg said the most important thing for prospective employees is having the right attitude.

“The biggest thing that we’re looking for is genuine people that have that caring concern for the folks that are sitting down,” he said. “That’s something that you can’t train.”

Jon McNeely, director of operations for Fresh Made Kitchen Group, says applicants should stop by the new Bluefin restaurant in Brownwood any day between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Those wishing to work at Brownwood’s newest restaurant, which opens Sept. 17, are being encouraged to stop by at 2738 Brownwood Blvd. between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. That way, Dillenburg said, the Bluefin management can meet applicants face to face.

“We can kind of see what makes them tick and see if they have that genuine hospitality,” he said, adding that he enjoys working with high-energy employees who make smiles a priority. “I love to unlock people to the point of they didn’t know what they were capable of and take them to that next level.”

Jon McNeely, who serves as director of operations for Fresh Made Kitchen Group, said he’s excited about the people who will be hired in the coming days, as well as those who already have come aboard.

The Bluefin hostess station features unique lighting and soothing colors.

“We have a nice, experienced management team that we’ve put together,” he said. “So we’re looking to get some good hourly employees to complete our team.”
McNeely added that everyone associated with Bluefin feels like they’re involved with something special.

“It’s a beautiful place,” he said, adding that customers will love the menu featuring a variety of fresh seafood dishes, steaks, burgers, pork chops and pasta. “It’s always exciting opening a new restaurant, but I really like what we’ve done here. I think it’s going to be unique in this area.”
