The principal at Forest High School in Ocala called a Marion County sheriff’s deputy for help Sunday after vandals struck the facility and left graphic messages and drawings throughout the facility’s campus.

When the deputy arrived at the school, located at 5000 SE Maricamp Rd., the principal told him that the basketball coach had first discovered the damage. She said the vandals hit the school sometime between 11 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday, a sheriff’s office report states.

An enclosed trailer on the campus had “VHS” on the side of it, with the V made of duct tape and the HS written with a permanent marker. A male body part also was drawn on the south door of the auditorium, along with the letters “VHS” in permanent marker. And several other locations, including doors at the auditorium, gym and cafeteria, as well as a courtyard bulletin board, were defaced with either graphic language and/or drawings of nude male and female body parts, the report says.

The deputy photographed the damage and sent an email to school resource officers so they’d be on the lookout at their own schools, the report says.
