Lisa Jeffrey

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office has arrested an Ocala man in connection with the murder of his estranged wife.

Bo Pete Jeffrey, 55, was taken into custody by Putnam County sheriff’s deputies Thursday and will be brought back to Marion County to face a first degree murder charge in connection with the death of 48-year-old Lisa Jeffrey, a sheriff’s office report states.

Patience Burton

On Nov. 27, Marion County sheriff’s deputies were called to the Holiday TravL-Park RV Resort, located at 4001 West Silver Springs Blvd., in connection with the disappearance of Lisa Jeffrey. During the investigation, Major Crimes detectives spoke with Patience Burton, who they claim didn’t tell them the truth in prior statements. She was subsequently arrested for providing false information to law enforcement and is currently being held at the Marion County Jail on no bond.

Detectives were then able to obtain a search warrant for the Jeffreys’ residence, where they ultimately located Lisa Jeffrey’s body. After interviewing Bo Jeffrey, detectives obtained a warrant for his arrest.
