Georgia Anne Howie Moore: Thursday December 6, 2018 Jesus took our beloved mom home to be with him. She was born on April 17, 1937 in Santa Monica, CA and grew up, married and had all of her children in Miami, FL. She married Marvin A. Moore on December 21, 1953 and had five children, Jeffery C. Moore, Lydia M. McKnight, Laura M. O’Connell, Anna L. Moore and David H. Moore. Georgia has been in the medical field since the age of 16, She became a Registered Nurse in 1976.
After moving to Ocala, Florida in 1969, Georgia became very active in the Historic Ocala Preservation Society. She was a lifelong Christian and an active member of the LWML. Georgia served as a school nurse at St. John Lutheran School as well as a parish nurse.
Georgia will be remembered as loving, caring, forgiving, faithful and compassionate. She loved being G’mommie to Shannon, Anna and Joshua. Georgia was very interested in our family history, she enjoyed tending to her flowers and worshiping with her church family. Recently she was united with her Brother’s son, Jeffrey Togman, which brought her great joy.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marvin; her beloved daughter, Anna; and her beloved brother, Howard N. Howie.
Services will be held Monday, December 10, 2018, 2pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 4001 NE 25th Avenue, Ocala, FL 34479 (352) 840-0711. Please join us for refreshments at the church following the service. We will not be able to receive visitors at her home.
