Ocala woman nabbed after photos appear on sheriff’s office’s Facebook page

An Ocala woman with a long criminal history was arrested this past weekend after her photos appeared on the Marion County Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook page.

Kristine Nicole Thomas, 23, was being sought in connection with an armed robbery at a local discount store last Thursday. She also had outstanding warrants for robbery, grand theft and marijuana possession.

Kristin Nicole Thomas has been in the Marion County Jail five times since April 2015. She currently is being held on charges of robbery with a weapon, two counts of possession of marijuana (not more than 20 grams), larceny/grand theft (between $400 and $5,000), burglary of an unoccupied dwelling (unarmed) and robbery with a weapon. Her arrests dates are: April 10, 2015; June 13, 2016; April 15, 2017; May 30, 2018 and Jan. 12.

Thomas’ photos first appeared on the sheriff’s office’s Facebook page last Friday morning. The following day, the sheriff’s office reported that she had been arrested and thanked its followers for help.

Thomas was charged with robbery with a weapon, two counts of possession of marijuana (not more than 20 grams), larceny/grand theft (between $400 and $5,000), burglary of an unoccupied dwelling (unarmed) and robbery with a weapon. She is being held in the Marion County Jail with no bond on the robbery charges and $13,000 bond on the remaining counts and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 23 and Feb. 12.

Thomas is no stranger to the Marion County legal system. She was arrested on May 30, 2018 and charged with possession of cannabis under 20 grams (failure to appear in court) and robbery (no firearm or weapon). On April 15, 2017, she was arrested for breach of the peace but the charge was later dropped or abandoned.

On June 13, 2016, Thomas was arrested on a bench warrant for petit theft (less than $100) and an order to take her into custody for a past charge of operating a motor vehicle without a valid license. She was later found guilty on both charges, Marion County Court records show.

Thomas also found herself in the jail on April 10, 2015 after being arrested for possession of a controlled substance without a prescription (Alprazolam). That charge was later dropped/abandoned.
