A driver and passenger were transported to an Ocala hospital Friday after their vehicle collided with the building in front of their parking space.
Ocala Fire Rescue responded to reports of a vehicle hitting a building in the 3000 block of E Silver Springs Blvd. Upon arrival shortly before 1 p.m., firefighters encountered a single vehicle with moderate front-end damage and two small openings on the building wall as a result of the impact.
The crew from Engine No. 5 secured the area, while Rescue No. 2 assisted with patient assessment. The driver and passenger were transported to the hospital. No other injuries were reported.
The Ocala Police Department and Marion County Fire Rescue also responded.
