Trespassing woman back behind bars for third time in a year

A woman with two previous stints in the Marion County Jail in the last year is back behind bars after being arrested on drug and trespassing charges.

Ocala Police were called to the RaceTrac convenience store, 3040 S. Pine Ave., about a woman who was previously trespassed from the store and back on the property. Officers arrived and made contact with the woman, 23-year-old Taylor Lee Fields.

Taylor Lee Fields, 23, was arrested on trespassing and drug charges at the RaceTrac convenience store at 3040 S. Pine Ave.

Police confirmed Fields was trespassed by Ocala Police in October 2018 and then arrested her. During a search of Fields’ purse, an officer found a clear plastic bag that contained a clear substance that resembled crushed ice. A field test identified the substance as MDMA, otherwise known as “ecstasy” or “molly.” Three syringes also were found in her purse, an Ocala Police report states.

According to Marion County Jail records, Fields was incarcerated from July 28 to Oct. 1, 2018 for tampering with evidence, and from Dec. 4, 2018 to Feb. 19 for robbery by sudden snatching and violating probation.

Fields was charged this time with trespassing after a warning, possession of a controlled substance (MDMA), possession of drug paraphernalia and violating probation. She remains held on $3,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Marion County Court on April 30.
