New bubble tea bar bringing Taiwanese treat to Downtown Ocala

A new bubble tea bar is ready to open its doors to patrons this week in Downtown Ocala.

The Bubble Bar is the first stand-alone restaurant devoted entirely to serving boba tea in Ocala. Bubble tea, a popular Taiwanese drink that first made its debut in the 1980s, is currently available at a couple different restaurants in Ocala.

On Saturday, the new tea shop opened its doors to new customers for free samples and tours of the new location. Over 400 excited residents stopped in to sample a variety of teas and “snows,” a creamy, blended beverage made from non-dairy creamer, blended ice and a flavor.
