Bandit makes off with haul of tools and electronics from Ocala Wal-Mart

A Marion County sheriff’s deputy was called to an Ocala Wal-Mart on Sunday after a thief stole a cart-load of merchandise.

When the deputy arrived at the store, located at 34 Bahia Ave., a loss prevention officer said the theft occurred on Friday, April 19 at about 8:40 p.m. He said the bandit walked out of the store’s general merchandise doors with a cart full of tools, electronics and household items valued at $1,224.71.

The stolen items included:

  • Impact drills ($118);
  • Vacuum ($329);
  • Nintendo Switch deluxe case ($37.84);
  • 6-foot A/V cable ($7.96);
  • Wireless mouse ($18.97);
  • Micro USB cable ($9.82);
  • Four men’s watches ($135.60);
  • Universal laptop charger ($49.97);
  • Gaming console ($44.88);
  • Printer ($109);
  • Computer monitor ($84);
  • Laptop backpack ($69.97);
  • 20-ounce bottle of Coke ($1.88);
  • Stylo+ craft tool ($47.97);
  • Three-drawer tool set ($118);
  • Socket set ($11.97); and
  • Orbital sander ($29.88).
