Titusville man injured in rollover crash on Interstate 75 in Marion County

A Titusville man was seriously injured early Saturday morning in a single-vehicle rollover crash on southbound Interstate 75 in Marion County.

The crash, which happened at 12:36 a.m. at Mile Marker 343, sent 33-year-old Brandon Ceon to a local hospital. He had been driving a white 2011 Chevy Silverado when the vehicle suddenly left the roadway onto the west grassy shoulder. Ceon attempted to get back on the interstate but overcorrected and crossed all three southbound lanes into the center median, a Florida Highway Patrol report states.

The passenger side of Ceon’s pickup then collided with the guardrail and the vehicle overturned and came to rest in the inside and center southbound lanes. Ceon was the only occupant of the pickup and had to be extricated by crews from Marion County Fire Rescue, the report says.

Ceon, who was believed to be wearing his seatbelt, was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. The crash still is under investigation and charges are pending, the report says.
