Ocala woman with seatbelt wrapped around headrest jailed for invalid driver’s license

Lacie Marie Music

An Ocala woman was arrested Sunday morning after a Florida Highway Patrol trooper spotted her driving with her seatbelt wrapped around her headrest.

The trooper stopped 29-year-old Lacie Marie Music on U.S. Hwy. 441 in Reddick and when he made contact with her, she gave him an invalid driver’s license. A records check showed that it had been suspended on Nov. 29, 2018, and also had three prior suspension convictions – Feb. 9, 2007; Oct. 3, 2014 and Nov. 24, 2015, a FHP report states.

The trooper told Music to call someone to pick up her passengers and then instructed her to exit her white Kia Optima. She was then taken into custody and transported to the Marion County Jail, where she was charged with driving while license suspended (third or subsequent offense).

Music was released early Sunday night on $5,000 bond. Her next court date hasn’t yet been set, jail records show.
