Marion sheriff seeks help in nabbing gas station wallet bandit

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help in identifying a man caught on surveillance video stealing a wallet at an Ocala gas station.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help in identifying this man, who is accused of taking a wallet he found recently at the BP gas station at 14055 W Hwy. 40 in Ocala.

Marion County sheriff’s deputies say the man took the wallet recently while he was at the BP gas station at 14055 W Hwy. 40. They say he didn’t try to locate the owner or turn the wallet into the clerk. Instead, he “just put it into his pocket hoping no one saw him steal it,” a sheriff’s office report states.
