Two fatalities confirmed in crash on I-75

Two fatalities have been confirmed in a crash involving three motorcycles and a tractor trailer Thursday morning that brought traffic to a near standstill near Milepost 343 on Interstate 75 in Marion County.

The Florida Highway Patrol at 10:58 a.m. arrived on the scene of the crash in the northbound lanes of I-75.

Multiple troopers were dispatched to the crash site.

A motorcycle was involved in the crash Thursday morning on Interstate 75.

Those traveling between Ocala and The Villages reported they were caught in the subsequent traffic jam which brought traffic to a standstill. All lanes of traffic re-opened at 3:20 p.m.

Emergency personnel were at the scene of the crash on Interstate 75.
