Free backpacks and schools supplies will be given out to children for the 16th Annual Back to School Event in Ocala. The event will take place on July 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ed Croskey Center (1510 N.W. 4th St).
All children from kindergarten to 18-years-old are invited to attend and receive a backpack.
This event is free to attend and all services are free for children, including immunizations (must bring current shot record), school physicals, vision and hearing screenings, backpacks and school supplies (while supplies last), child ID’s, vendors, clowns, games, and food.
A clothing boutique and hygiene items for teenaged boys and girls will be available while supplies last. The Florida Department of Health’s Dental Clinic will provide cleanings, fluoride, sealants, and exams for children from birth to 18-years-old.
This event is sponsored by Marion County Children’s Alliance, Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida, and the City of Ocala in partnership with the Marion County Public School System.
