The city of Ocala will host a variety of softball leagues for residents this summer. All of the games will be hosted on various days during the week at the Ocala Regional Sportsplex, located at 3500 SW 67 Avenue Road. Adult mixed league (Ages 18+) – An adult, mixed league for residents aged 18 and over will be hosted on every Tuesday beginning on July 16 and ending on September 17. Teams will play games between 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. The league is a mixed softball league, which will consist of a six male players and four female players. A minimum of four females must always be on the playing field. Participants are responsible for bringing their own equipment. Teams play up to 30 games during the season. Registration is $300 for a team and is open through July 2
Men’s league (Ages 50+) – This is a league for men ages 50 and over who share a passion for the sport of softball or maybe looking to get back into the swing of things. Games will take place every Wednesday between July 17 and September 18 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Participants are responsible for supplying equipment. Teams will play up to 30 games during the season and will have the opportunity to play for the league championship via tournament. Registration is $300 a team and is open from now until July 10.
Corporate league – This Corporate Softball League is for companies looking to have a little fun while socializing among other commercial organizations. Games will take place every Sunday from August 4 to October 27 between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. This competitive league offers a 10-week season, followed by an end of the season tournament. Participants are responsible for bringing all equipment needed to play. Through the Corporate Softball League entry fee, businesses will receive an advertisement banner for their company that will remain on the filed for a six-month period. Registration is $350 a team and can be completed between June 24 and July 26.
Adult league – This league is for anyone looking to have a little fun. Games will take place every Thursday from July 18 to September 19, between 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. It’s a 10-week season followed by an end of season tournament. Players must provide their own equipment. The cost to participate is $300 for a team.
