Marion sheriff’s seeks help in identifying bandit who cashed fraudulent check

Marion County sheriff’s deputies are asking for the public’s help in identifying a thief who cashed a fraudulent check recently.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information about the man shown above, who is wanted in connection with passing a fraudulent check recently.

Sheriff’s officials say the man, shown above, used a fake Florida identification card and phone number to cash the check for almost $1,000. They are asking for anyone with information about the man or the crime to call the sheriff’s office at (352) 732-9111.
