Residents invited to view new ‘Arts on Deck’ exhibit at City Hall

Residents are being invited to view a new “Arts on Deck” exhibit at City Hall  City beginning July 25. A reception, that is free and open to the public, will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at City Hall (110 SE Watula Ave) to celebrate the opening of the new exhibit. Light refreshments will be provided.

“Arts on Deck” is a group show with work from over 25 artists, with mediums ranging from paper-mâché to spray paint, all on skateboard decks. This show is curated by artist Scotty Briggs, a native Floridian whose work is also featured in the show. Briggs has been working, creating and aesthetically “bettering” the Jacksonville area for over ten years, beginning his career spray-painting in back alleys, until eventually moving to traditional work with acrylic paint on canvas.

This art exhibit will be on display through Wednesday, October 16 during normal business hours.

For more information about this exhibit, please contact the City of Ocala Cultural Arts Office at 352-629-8447 or artinfo@ocalafl.org.
