Watula Avenue will close partially on Sunday, August 4, in order to accommodate the relocation of a historic building, according to a press release from the city of Ocala.
The road closure will take place from Fort King Street to SE Fifth Street, beginning at 7 a.m. and concluding by 3 p.m.
The historic building, currently located at 121 SE Watula Avenue, will be moved to the 400 block of SE Watula Avenue.
Traffic heading north on SE Watula will go east on SE Fifth Street to SE Alvarez Avenue, north to Fort King Street, and west onto Fort King Street to SE Watula Avenue north.
Traffic heading south on SE Watula Avenue will go east on Fort King Street to SE Alvarez Avenue, south to SE Fifth Street, and west on SE Fifth Street to SE Watula Avenue south.
All necessary devices will be in place to redirect traffic. During the building relocation times, travelers may experience delays, noise, dust and heavy equipment within the project area.
