Host families needed for 100 international high school exchange students

Host families are needed to place 100 international high school exchange students that will be coming to Ocala.

The EF High School Exchange is accepting applications from local residents for the upcoming school year. Each year, EF High School Exchange Year brings nearly 3,200 international exchange students to live with caring host families across America.

There are no restrictions on the type of family that may host, including large and small families, single parents, couples without children, retired persons, and more.

For those interested in another country’s language and culture, hosting a student is a way to experience the wider world in the comfort of a familiar setting.

EF High School Exchange Year is a division of EF Education First, the World Leader in International Education. The organization brings more students to the U.S. each year than any other high school exchange program, and since 1979 it has connected more than 100,000 talented, enthusiastic international students with caring host families across the United States.

Both potential permanent and welcome host families are encouraged to reach out for additional information. The organization is looking to place 100 students that are interested in the program, with the school year beginning in August.

Please contact local international coordinator Megan Switzer at Megan.Switzer@efexchangeyear.org for more information.
