Ocala to play key role in President Trump’s visit to The Villages

The White House has released details about President Trump’s planned trip to The Villages on Tuesday and it turns out that Ocala will play a key role in the visit.

President Trump is scheduled to land in Ocala aboard Air Force One on Tuesday before heading to The Villages to speak about Medicare.

The president is scheduled to land at Ocala International Airport aboard Air Force One at about 1 p.m. and then travel to The Villages. It’s unclear if he will make the 30-mile trip by motorcade or fly to the mega-retirement community via helicopter.

Trump is scheduled to speak about Medicare at The Sharon L. Morse Performing Arts Center in Spanish Springs Town Square at about 2:15 p.m. The event is being billed as a private, invitation-only affair. The Sharon can seat 1,000 guests but it’s unclear how many people actually will be attending the event.
