Homeless man facing trespassing charge after chatting with friends on Ocala street

Lester Justin Range

A homeless man who was among a group of people congregated on an Ocala street was jailed for trespassing.

Ocala Police officers arrested 29-year-old Lester Justin Range on Wednesday after it was determined that he’d been previously warned against trespassing at a location in the 100 block of N Magnolia Avenue, a report says.

Range told officers that he had been given a warning and wanted another one because he was only on the property talking with friends. He said he was not given a trespass warning but was just warned not to come back to the property, the report says.

Range was taken into custody and transported to the Marion County Jail, where he was charged with trespass after warning. He was being held on no bond and his next court date hasn’t yet been set.
