Old City Yard Stormwater Project creating road closure on NW Sixth Terrace

Due to construction for the Old City Yard Stormwater project, NW Sixth Terrace, from NW Fourth Street to NW Fifth Street, will be closed beginning Monday, Aug. 19. NW Sixth Terrace is expected to reopen Friday, Aug. 30.

This project consists of constructing a pump station at the drainage retention area (DRA) located at the 450 block of NW Sixth Terrace and connecting this pump station using new and existing infrastructure to the Ocala Groundwater Wetland Recharge Park.

All necessary devices will be in place to redirect traffic. Construction will take place Mondays through Fridays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.  During construction times travelers may experience delays, noise, dust and heavy equipment within the project area.

Detour routes:

  • Northbound traffic on NW Sixth Terrace will travel north on NW Seventh Avenue to NW Sixth Street, then east to NW Sixth Terrace.
  • Southbound traffic on NW Sixth Terrace will travel west on NW Sixth Street to NW Seventh Avenue, then south to NW Fourth Street.
