An Ocala woman was charged with simple domestic battery for allegedly scratching a man with her keys.

A Marion County sheriff’s deputy responded Monday afternoon to a residence on SE 27th Avenue, where the victim said he and Justice C. Bridges, 25, had been arguing throughout the day about money. The victim said right before he left, Bridges took his phone and threw it on the ground and shattered it, according to the sheriff’s office report.

The victim said Bridges then scratched him on the right side of his neck with her keys. The deputy observed a fresh cut on the victim’s neck that was consistent with his story, the report said.

Bridges told the deputy she and the victim were arguing all day about different things. She said they were only yelling at each other and there was nothing physical. Bridges didn’t have any marks or bruises on her, according to the report.

Bridges was arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail, where she was released Wednesday on $100 bond. Her next appearance in Marion County Court is set for Oct. 10.
