Bleeding woman claims Ocala man dragged her out of his house by her ankle

Isaac David Fisher

An Ocala man was jailed early Monday morning after a bleeding woman reported being dragged out of his house by her ankle.

Marion County sheriff’s deputies were called to the residence on NW 72nd Court around 1 a.m. and when they arrived, the woman said she had been in a verbal altercation with 26-year-old Isaac David Fisher the night before. She said she returned to her room and Fisher came in and told her he was going to throw her out of the house, a sheriff’s office report states.

The woman claimed Fisher then grabbed her by her right ankle and dragged her through the house and out the front door. She showed deputes a scrape on her back that was bleeding from the incident, the report says.

Fisher was placed under arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail, where he was charged with domestic battery. He was released Tuesday night on his own recognizance and is due in court Sept. 12 at 9:30 a.m. to answer to the charge.

Fisher is no stranger to the Marion County legal system, having been arrested twice before. In April 2017 he was taken into custody on a bench warrant for failing to appear in court on a charge of making a false report of a commission of a crime. He initially had been arrested on that charge in February 2017.
