New downtown Ocala bar and two restaurants receive OK to sell alcoholic beverages

The Ocala City Council recently approved alcoholic beverage permits for a new bar and two restaurants.

The Ocala City Council granted the new Black Sheep on Broadway a permit that allows it to sell alcohol inside the bar and on an outside patio.
The Fiery Chef, which received a permit to sell beer, is located at the Hillside Center on E Silver Springs Boulevard.

The new Black Sheep on Broadway bar, located at 128 SW Broadway, was granted a permit that will allow for the sale of beer, wine and liquor, both inside the building and on a patio featuring outside seating. The new bar, which also will offer food, hopes to open by the end of the month or soon thereafter. It is replacing the Fox Den Tavern, which closed this past April.

The eatery is located near the Paddock Mall and is surrounded by a variety of other restaurants, including Outback Steakhouse, Mi Tierra Latina, Royal Orchid Tai Cuisine and Logan’s Roadhouse.
