60-year-old Ocala woman with long criminal record nabbed on prostitution charge

Rose Marie Mullins

A 60-year-old Ocala woman who is no stranger to the Marion County Jail was arrested Thursday on charges of solicitation of prostitution and possession of drug paraphernalia.

An agent with the Unified Drug Enforcement Strike Team (UDEST) reported that Rose Marie Mullins, who was sitting in the area of the 300 block of SW 19th Street, agreed to perform oral sex on him for $30. The agent said Mullins then got into his vehicle and they were stopped by other agents a short time later, a UDEST report says.

Mullins was placed in handcuffs and during a subsequent search, agents reported finding a glass crack pipe in her shoe. She was transported to the jail and is scheduled to be released on Oct. 11 at 9 a.m., jail records show.

UDEST is an initiative of the North Florida High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area. It is comprised of local, state and federal law enforcement from the Ocala Police Department, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Drug Enforcement Administration and Department of Homeland Security.
