Ocala Civic Theatre hosting New York trip to see Broadway shows

The Ocala Civic Theatre is hosting its 12th visit to New York City for interested parties in order to see a collection of popular Broadway shows. Read the full release from the theatre below and sign up by visiting The Ocala Civic Theatre website for more information:

This year’s trip is December 5-8, 2019. It’s still a three-night, four-day excursion to experience the magic of New York at the holidays – but this time, it’s a whole new adventure.

This year’s trip is arranged by Pro Musica Tours, the only specialty tour operator in New York staffed by both experienced travel professionals and professional performing artists. For more than 25 years, Pro Musica has led custom-designed performing arts tours which focus on the city’s incredible theater, music, and dance scene. We are incredibly fortunate to have a professional tour guide from Pro Musica who will be with us for our entire time in New York, guiding our adventures to provide a premium experience for our group.

We will be seeing three Broadway shows as a group. The shows will be the acclaimed Aaron Sorkin adaptation of To Kill a Mockingbird, the Motown smash hit Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations, the hilarious musical Tootsie. Each show will offer prime seating. There’s also an exciting new addition to enrich our theatrical experience: our choice of either a private meet-the-artist session with a performer or technician from one of our chosen shows or a talkback with the cast after one of the performances. Finally, for one more incredible
cultural experience, our trip also includes a guided tour of Lincoln Center, from Avery Fisher Hall to the Metropolitan Opera House.

Our accommodations are also new this year. We will be staying at the gorgeous Novotel Hotel in the heart of Manhattan, with stunning views of Times Square. This four-star, the ultra-modern hotel is minutes from the Broadway theater district, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, world-class shopping and dining, and much more.
Some things are still the same. As always, the trip features round-trip private coach
transportation between Ocala Civic Theatre and the Orlando airport. Our New York adventure will begin with our traditional welcome dinner for the group at a fabulous new restaurant. And the gorgeous Christmas lights and sparkling decorations of New York in its holiday finest will create the same enduring enchantment as ever.
We hope you will join us for this magical holiday adventure full of amazing theatre, music, dance, shopping, dining, history, culture, art – all the best that New York City has to offer!

The cost for the trip is $2500 per person, double occupancy. This includes round-trip airfare and private coach transportation, three hotel nights, three Broadway shows, a private meet-the artist or meet-the-cast session, a tour of Lincoln Center, the welcome dinner, the dedicated services of a private tour guide, and all taxes, tips, and gratuities for these items. Travel insurance and luggage fees are the responsibility of the individual traveler.
