Deangelo Leandrew Shelton Clark

A man sought in the homicide of an Anthony woman was arrested Wednesday in Monroe County.

Marion County sheriff’s detectives had been searching for 30-year-old Deangelo Leandrew Shelton Clark in connection with the death of 20-year-old Kiara Alleyene. Her body was found in a residence located at 2241 NE 78th Lane in Anthony on Wednesday morning after sheriff’s deputies received a call from a family member who was concerned about her well-being.

Sheriff’s detectives had received information that Clark had threatened to take Alleyene’s life and his own. An Amber Alert initially was issued but later was canceled when Alleyene’s daughter, 11-month-old Jhene Clark, was found safe with a family member in Marion County.

Clark had been considered armed and dangerous. He was seen driving a 2008 black Mazda CX7 with North Dakota license plate number 328APC before the manhunt for him got under way across Central Florida.
