Joseph Bennett Lewis, 60, June 30, 1959 – September 11, 2019, Ocala, Florida. Son to the late Henry and Bernice Lewis. He was married to the late Evalona Brodie Lewis.
He attended the public schools of Marion County, Florida, graduating from Forest High School class of 1977. He attended Bethune-Cookman, Daytona Beach, FL. and the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL.
He was a member of Mt. Zion A. M. E. Church, Ocala and was employed by Fedex. His personal hobby was collecting old cars.
He leaves to cherish his memories: one brother, Keith H. Lewis (Dollie), of Ocala; Diane Credle (Calvin) of Neptune, NJ and Melissa Roy of Ocala; stepson, Dominic Anderson; step grandson, Dominic Ford; father in law, Reverend N. P. Brodie of Fayetteville, NC; sister in law, Annette Jackson (Ralph) of Duluth, GA; brother in laws, Norwood P. Brodie, Jr. (Patricia) of Lawrenceville, GA, Steve Brodie (Joyce) of Snellville, GA; four nieces; four nephew; one uncle, Elay O. Lewis, Sr. (Geneva) of Dayton, Oh; three aunts, Alice Lewis of New Jersey, Mazie Lewis of Jacksonville, FL, Noisettia Lewis of Ocala, FL and a host of cousins and friends.
