Ocala man trespassed from Belleview grocery store returns twice in same day

James Michael Schell

An Ocala man who was trespassed from a Belleview grocery store earlier this year and then returned twice in the same day is behind bars in the Marion County Jail.

Matthew Jameson Marshall, 51, was issued a trespass warning on March 19 from the manager of the Publix grocery store on S Hwy. 441 in the Belleview Commons Shopping Center. He came to the store twice on Monday and after the second time, a Belleview Police officer received a call for help shortly after 5 p.m., a police report says.

When the officer arrived a short time later, Marshall had walked out of the store and was hiding by the loading dock area. He was taken into custody and transported the jail, where he was charged with trespass after warning. He is being held on $1,000 bond and is due in court Oct. 28 at 1 p.m. to answer to the charge.
