The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Ocala 5K Walk will take place on Saturday, October 19, from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Ocala/Marion County Veterans Memorial Park (2601 E Fort King St).
The walk is hosted by the American Cancer Society, whose walks are the largest network of breast cancer fundraising and awareness events in the nation, uniting more than 250 communities to lead the fight for a world without breast cancer.
Making Strides is a non-competitive 5K walk where the local community comes together to celebrate and remember breast cancer survivors. In the days and weeks leading up to the walk, teams fundraise for the American Cancer Society’s breast cancer initiatives.
