An Ocala woman found herself behind bars Wednesday night after a nasty battle with her gal pal.
Marion County sheriff’s deputies were called to a residence in the 14600 block of SW 24th Court Rd. and when they arrived, the victim told them she wanted 24-year-old Traci Ann Rice removed from her property.
Rice, who was standing in the roadway beside a deputy, then threw a house key, which struck the victim. She was arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail.
Rice, who also lives at the residence on SW 24th Court Rd., was charged with domestic battery and released Thursday night on her own recognizance. She is due to appear in a Marion County courtroom on Oct. 22 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the charge.
