Ocala Breeders’ Feed & Supply to host annual pet day on Oct. 26

The Ocala Breeders’ Feed & Supply will host their annual pet day on Saturday, Oct. 26.

The event will begin take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 6855 N U.S. Hwy. 27, and will include a pet costume contest, an agility course open to the public, a seminar hosted by local dog trainers, and even a pumpkin patch.

All those that participate in the pet costume contest will receive a free goodie bag and have their picture taken. All photos will be uploaded to the Ocala Breeders Feed & Supply Facebook page for voting until 12 p.m. on October 31, 2019. The photo with the most votes will receive a $100 Ocala Breeders’ Feed and Supply gift certificate.

The cost is $1.00 to run the dog agility course one time, and $5.00 for unlimited runs, with all proceeds benefitting Kids and Canines 4-H Club, a local Marion County affiliate of the 4-H Club.

Local dog trainer, Jay Nix, will provide a seminar/class from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. to instruct owners how to better communicate with their dogs. Nix will discuss how to communicate better, address common problems multiple pet owners have, and take time for questions and answers. In addition, certain dogs will be selected to work with for demonstrating methods discussed throughout the seminar.

Pet vendors will be on-site to answer questions and visit with you about various products used for pets, including Canidae, Champion Pet, Zignature, Vetericyn, and Organic Gut Solution.

Tiny Prince Charming is going to be on-site for photo opportunities. This gentle giant is owned by Kimberden Farms and is part of their Horse Country Carriage Company and Tours team.

Finally, The Florida Throrobred Fillies Club is hosting a pumpkin patch that will feature fall props for photo opportunities.
