A collection of craft beers and a colorful, clean atmosphere are just a couple of the traits that make Hiatus Brewing Company a must-visit destination in Ocala, Florida.
After a lengthy search for a home, the brewery opened the doors on its new location at 6230 SW Highway 200 Suite 5 this past September.
As the neon sign might suggest, the brewery’s interior is spacious and can accommodate small and larger parties. The clean, sleek dining room is filled with colorfully accented chairs and a steady stream of songs that harken back to the early-to-mid 2000s (think The Killers, The Bravery, The Strokes, Foster the People, etc.).
The business bills itself as a local “brewpub,” joining the ranks of other local brewers like Big Hammock Brewery and Infinite Ale Works who brew and serve their own craft beers and ales on site. They fill out their drink offering with a wide variety of ciders, hard teas, hard seltzers, and wines.
In addition to the extensive drink options, Hiatus Brewing Company has a menu complete with all of the pub mainstays one might expect, including spiced nuts, marinated olives, street corn nachos, pretzels, and cheese boards. For those looking for more of a meal, flatbreads, salads, sandwiches, fill the rest of the menu, which also includes a desserts section.
Hiatus Brewing Company is open every day from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The brewery regularly holds a trivia night and has previously held other types of events since their opening, including a few pumpkin carving contests.
