Transplanted New York trucker behind bars after girl claims he sexually molested her

Nasib Jobe

A 45-year-old Ocala truck driver was jailed Thursday after a high school guidance counselor reported that a juvenile had been sexually molested.

The victim, between the ages of 12 and 16, was interviewed Thursday and claimed that she had been inappropriately touched by Nasib Jobe, of Ocala, on several occasions. She said the first incident occurred when she was in New York in July 2017 and Jobe put his hand under her clothing, a Marion County Sheriff’s Office report states.

The victim said the sexual abuse continued when they moved to Ocala. She claimed Jobe would touch her under her clothing when she was in bed and the last incident had taken place in August. It’s unclear from the report if or how the girl is related to Jobe.

The victim also said that on one occasion Jobe had picked her up at school and taken her to where he parked his semi-truck on Hwy. 484 near Marion Oaks. She said he removed her pants while they were inside the vehicle and touched her, the report says.

After being read his rights, Jobe denied touching the victim inappropriately. He did claim they “play around a lot” and he could have “touched her unintentionally,” the report says.

Jobe was arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail, where he was charged with lewd and lascivious behavior with a victim 12 to 16 years of age. He is being held on no bond and is due in court on Dec. 17 at 9 a.m. to answer to the charge.
