‘Cameras with a Cause’ volunteer group hosting free portrait session for Ocala families

A local volunteer group known as Cameras with a Cause (CWAC) will host their annual family portrait session to provide free photos to Ocala families.

The portrait event will allow any who are in need of a family portrait to receive one free of cost on Saturday, December 7, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Salvation Army Ocala, located at 320 North Magnolia Avenue.

All families are allowed two printed portraits and although clothing used in the photos is limited, additional free clothing will be available for perusal.

Hairstylists, makeup artists, and other volunteers are needed and encouraged to participate. Volunteers to set up are needed on Thursday, December 5 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday, December 6, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., while volunteer times for the day of the event are 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

To protect the families and their privacy, volunteers are reminded that pictures of any kind are prohibited during the event while inside the building.

Donations of children’s clothing for all ages, men’s big and tall clothing, and women’s plus size clothing are needed, as well as Staples gift cards.

Cameras With A Cause (CWAC) is a group of local photographers and other core volunteers whose mission is to provide professional family portraits to families across Ocala, Florida.
