FHP warns motorists of potential visibility issues on Interstate 75

Motorists traveling on Interstate 75 in Marion County are being warned of potential visibility issues from a prescribed burn.

The 15-acre burn took placed Thursday, approximately one mile west of I-75 between mile markers 345 and 350. The Florida Highway Patrol is urging drivers to be aware that visibility from lingering smoke can quickly deteriorate, especially during the nighttime and early morning hours. Motorists are advised to reduce their speed and utilize low-beam headlights to quickly adapt to changing conditions.
