Jealous Silver Springs man jailed after lady friend allegedly bangs head on table

Wendell Levone Lee

A scorned Silver Springs man was arrested early Monday night after his lady friend claimed he pushed her and made her hit her head on a dining room table.

The victim told deputies that 51-year-old Wendell Levone Lee was upset with her when the altercation started. Deputies confirmed that she had a small bump on her head where she claimed to have hit the table.

Lee denied pushing the woman and said she had bumped her head several days earlier during a different altercation. He also claimed that she was “bringing other men into the residence,” the report says.

A criminal background check showed that Lee had one prior conviction for simple battery on July 16, 2010 in Alachua County. He was taken into custody and transported to the Marion County Jail, where he was charged with domestic battery (second or subsequent offense). He was being held on $2,000 bond and is due in court on Jan. 7 at 9 a.m. to answer to the charge.
