The Florida Northern Turnpike Connector Task Force will host a local meeting to discuss the potential economic and environmental impacts of work on the corridor.

The meeting is open to the public and will take place on Wednesday, December 18, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hilton Ocala, located at 3600 SW 36th Avenue.

The task force will evaluate the Northern Turnpike Connector corridor, which extends from the northern terminus of the Florida Turnpike northwest to the Suncoast Parkway, in coordination with the Florida Department of Transportation as part of the Multi-use Corridors of Regional Economic Significance (M-CORES) program.

The public is invited to attend and observe the proceedings of the task force. Comment stations will be available throughout the meeting where comments may be submitted in writing, verbally to an on-site court reporter, or by email to FDOT.Listens@dot.state.fl.us.

In addition, a public comment period will begin at 4:30 p.m. and will continue until everyone has had an opportunity to speak.
